When I accepted the invitation to attend the
#DisneyDreamworksEvent in LA last week, I knew we'd dive into a few other movies besides CARS 2. Yesterday, I let you guys in on a classic movie hitting theaters in July, the
NEW Winnie the Pooh movie, but today I want to talk about another movie, a movie that spoke to me, moved me, and inspired me to love a little more and move forward through adversity.
The Help, a movie based on the popular book by Katheryn Stockett, is the story of an unlikely sisterhood between the maids of Jackson, Mississippi and an up and coming writer. The courage it took for them to stand up and be heard had me sad that this country lived in such a way, but inspired that acceptance has bloomed through the process.
While I can't, exactly, give you guys a full on review, I will say, Day 2 of our Disney Dreamworks Event was my favorite day. I feel so honored to have viewed
The Help in advance and you'll find me, through my Social Media Channels, encouraging others to see it when it hits theaters in August.
