Last year, I was in awe of how much we could make a difference in my local community just by being a blogger. Thanks to Cepia LLC, through RAZ 2010, we were able to donate 100 Zhu Zhu Pets to a children's advocacy center called Bridgehaven.

This year I wanted to give TWICE as much. Not knowing I'd be asked to partner with RAZ 2011, I started collecting and asking for donations from companies months ago. Before I knew it, my garage was full of gifts from a variety of partners such as Creativity for Kids, Townley Girl, and, for the second year in a row, Cepia LLC (makers of Zhu Zhu Pets).



I struggled with who to donate to this year. As I looked all around me, in this small community, I witnessed so many hurting families. These are families who have experience job loss, foreclosure, and who are struggling to feed their families. With all I had in my garage, I knew I could make a difference, but how would I choose?

The kids, my husbnad, and I loaded up the SUV and took all we had to the only place we knew that was filled with love and hope... our church Second Baptist Highlands. These are the hands that truly do God's work and without them to accept our gifts, I'd be lost on who could use these donations. Thank you Second Baptist Highlands for being the hands and feet of Christ this Holiday Season.



Giving back like this can not be possible with out the help of amazing companies. We'd like to thank Nestle, Townley Girl, Creativity for Kids, and Cepia LLC. Through our participation with RAZ (Random Acts of Zhu), it's inspired us to make each year bigger and bigger as we make a difference in our local community. For 2011, Cepia donated 100 Zhu Zhu pets AND accessories for them. We then received over 17 craft kids from Creativity for Kids, and stocking stuffers from Townley Girl.

In a word? Inspirational.

In two words? Absolutely magnificent.

In three? Bring on 2012!
