Coca-Cola #ArcticHome Mama Bear: How Do You Pay It Forward During the Holidays?

Friday, December 23, 2011 Leave a Comment

Earlier this week, I loaded up the kids on the back of a lighted trailer, grabbed my blanket and scarf, for a night full of Christmas Caroling and giving of fruit baskets to the community. This was all made possible by the wonderful church I'm a member of, but for me? It was more than that.

I can't sing a lick to save my life. Did you ever see the movie My Best Friend's Wedding where Kimmy tries to sing Karaoke? Ummm... yeah. That's me, but worse. I've often been told that if you simply make a joyful noise, you'll delight the Lord and those around you. Whoever said that, obviously, hasn't heard me sing. Nevertheless, I did! I did make a joyful noise and it brought a warmth to my heart in doing so. It also brought smiles to my children and those around us. How do you pay-it-forward during the Holiday Season?

Paying-it-forward is on the minds of millions of people this Holiday Season, even yours truly. One night of Christmas Caroling might not have made a HUGE difference, but it sure did feel good and to see all the recipients, once we gave them their fruit baskets, was such a warm feeling. Even the kids were excited!

Another way we're paying it forward was through charitable giving to our local community. Check out our post for our 2011 Holiday Giving Initiative and how we were able to give over 150 brand new toys and items to families in need this year.

Pay it forward for the Polar Bears!

Remember, this December you can collect the new, limited-edition Arctic Home red cans — which has polar bears set against the iconic red Coca-Cola background. December is a month that brings families together and often serves as a reminder to give back as well.

As a Coca Cola Arctic Home Mama Bear, I've been spreading the word to everyone on how you can donate to Arctic Home by logging on to www.arctichome.com, texting package codes to the package code to 357357 to make a $1 donation to WWF or donating points through MCR.com.

I want to hear how all of you pay it forward during the Holiday Season. Do you have favorite memories of years past? Oh and you know what? If you share a picture with me in the comment section, I'll post on our Momma Findings Facebook Page to share with the world (okay, well maybe not the world, but all of our awesome readers).
