I don't know about you, but I, often, forget people on my list. I mean, I tend to be a little OCD with a spreadsheet that included everyone by alphabetical order including whether or not we purchase the gift and if it's been wrapped.
This year, however, my daughter keeps throwing curve balls at me, "Mom, what about my friend down the street? What about my BFF at church? What about the little girl who I've never met, but I know she needs a gift that lives down the street? You get the picture. I'm all about teaching my kids about giving, but this is getting out of hand. So, we ventured off to Toys R Us to check out simple, yet fun gifts for girls. I'm talking 8-yr-old girls.
I have this new love for cosmetics, since being an H-E-B Beauty Blogger the last year and I'm trying to teach my daughter that beauty is on the inside, but it's still fun and "girly" to put on a little lip gloss and paint your nails a fun glittery color. So, this year, I got here the AWESOME Hello Kitty Cosmetic Set in a reusable tin. She's going to love using this as a lunch box at school. In the embossed cosmetic tin case are:
Townley Girl, the maker of the Hello Kitty Cosmetic Set, is offering all aspiring beauty queens between the ages of 3 and 6; safe, fun and appropriate Disney Princess, Disney Fairies, Nickelodeon Dora The Explorer, and Sanrio Hello Kitty make-up kits for young girls to dress up & role play! I know one particular little girl in our neighborhood who would just LOVE the Dora Set.
Buy It:
All of Townley Girl products are non-toxic, animal cruelty free, and can be conveniently found at Toys R Us. The Hello Kitty Set retails for a suggested price of $16.99, while the Dora Set retails for $10.00.
I want to give a BIG thank you to Townley Girl for not only pointing me to these awesome ideas for girls, but for also donating products for our 2011 Holiday Giving Initiative. It's companies like this that truly make a difference during the Holiday Season. Please check out our post summing up our charitable giving and don't forget to follow Townley Girl on Twitter and Facebook.
