I am beyond excited to announce that I've been chosen to be Coca-Cola Mama Bear! When I told my kids that I was officially a "Mama Bear" they just giggled all the way to school, but when I told them that Coca-Cola cans would be WHITE starting this month, their jaws dropped.
So, what does that mean exactly? Well, it means I'll be helping Coca-Cola raise awareness and funds to protect the polar bears' arctic home. Starting this month, be on the lookout for really cool Coca-Cola themed giveaways, here at Momma Findings, along with a big Twitter Party bash with other Coca-Cola Mama Bears. It just warms my heart to team up with this amazing brand for such a good cause and how cool is it that you'll be drinking soda out of Coca-Cola white cans?!
Coca-Cola and its longtime partner World Wildlife Fund (WWF) launched this very special program JUST yesterday, rightfully naming it Arctic Home. To call attention to this important cause and, for the first time ever, Coca-Cola is turning its iconic red Coca-Cola cans WHITE! Plus Coke is making an initial $2 million donation to WWF and encouraging fans to join the effort by texting donations.
The really cool thing? Anybody who loves Coca-Cola and Polar Bears (let's face it, that's everyone I know) can simply text to make a difference in the effort to save the Polar Bears' home.
For everyone who texts the package code to 357357 to make a $1 donation to WWF, Coke will match it -- up to $1 million! People can also make donations online at ArcticHome.com, starting November 1.
Take a look at how the Polar Bear became so well known with Coca-Cola and how you can help:
This holiday season, more than 1.4 billion white Coke cans will help raise awareness and funds to protect the polar bear’s home. White bottle caps also will be on bottles of Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Nestea, Minute Maid and more. Coca-Cola has never before changed the color of the red can to support a cause.
When Can I Find These Limited Edition Cans?
As of November 1, 2011, the familiar red can background will be replaced with an all-white panorama, highlighted by the iconic Coca-Cola script printed in red. The eye-catching cans will feature the image of a mother bear and her two cubs making their way across the Arctic. White packaging will be on store shelves through February 2012. The limited-edition white cans and bottle caps will be on store shelves November 1, 2011 to February 2012.
