Halloween Fun: Scary Last Minute Makeovers on a Budget

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 Leave a Comment

Halloween is right around the corner and we've been having fun all month long. First, we celebrated with a Halloween themed Birthday party for my 8-yr-old daughter and then we hosted some cool Halloween giveaways thanks to Fanta and Milky Way.

Being that we have less than a week to the biggest fright night of the year, you guys are either A. Prepped and ready for trick-or-treating fun like good Moms or B. Scrambling last minute for costumes, candy, and decorations like me. If you've confessed to the latter, make sure you head over to Family Dollar for a frightful last minute makeover for a price that won't scare your pocketbook.

Scary Savings at Family Dollar:

Our friends at Family Dollar wanted to give us a little creepy inspiration to get the ball rolling on our Halloween Bash. They sent us a few items such as Halloween costumes for my daughter, scary masks for me and dad, and extras for the boys. Not only that, but they ALSO sent us a gift card to see what kind of goodies we could grab up.

Grab up we did and created a Bumble Bee Super Hero Costume that I just can't stop kissing and hugging:

Visit Familydollar.com for tips on everything from scaring up a costume to throwing a Halloween bash for under $20. Oh and did you guys check out the Martha Stewart show where they created costumes with items bought at Family Dollar? You might want to check that out before you spend a whole lot of money on that costume your child just HAS to have.

What are your kids dressing up as? Better yet, did you shop frugally for said costume? Oh and how did you like MY makeover above? I make scary look good!
