Lately, my perfume tray has been filled to the max with new fragrances hitting shelves. I never used to be much of a perfume girl. My senses are very weird that way. I can never tell whether or not a perfume or scent will give me a headache, make me nauseous, or, even worse, make someone around me nauseous.
If you know me at all, I've always stuck with my favorite musk, by Jovan
. Before you laugh, note that I've gotten so many compliments on this perfume than I EVER have. Plus, it's very budget friendly for a Mom of three, but today... Today? I'm branching out more, experimenting with more perfumes and enlisting a few into my favorites, while building my perfume collection. To be honest? It's kind of fun! So, first up is the New GUESS Seductive Fragrance.
About GUESS Seductive:
What ARE these scents?
Bold top notes of zesty, dazzling Bergamot, vibrant Blackcurrant and crispy Pear evoke a mouthwatering, mesmerizing desire. At the heart of the fragrance are feminine facets of Orange Flower, exotic touches of Jasmine and the noble allure of precious Florentine Orris, a legendary note harvested in Florence and used in perfumery for centuries to seduce the senses. At the base is a voluptuous trail of warm Vanilla and spicy Olibanum, finished with an intensely distinguished, musky essence of Cashmere Wood.
Momma Findings:
I'd like to think I'm in touch with my feminine side quite well. I love trendy clothes, cute shoes, perfect curls, and dashing make-up, however, perfume has always been somewhat of a mystery to me. I WANT to smell good, don't get me wrong, however, most perfumes result in different reactions.
Some make me nauseous.
Some give me a headache.
Some are overly strong.
Some are overly weak.
It's been so hard for me to say I actually like any kind of perfume at all. I used body mists and lotions quite a bit and I even have a favorite musk that doesn't effect me physically, but I think I'm changing. I think my body has matured to the facet of being able to tolerate more perfumes.
So, I decided to try out the New GUESS Seductive perfume and actually really liked it. It takes but one spray to my neck and a short spray to my wrists and it does wonders and lasts all day. I also really love the bottle. Am I a weirdo or what? It looks so classic and sleek and gives my perfume tray an edgy look against all my other fragrances.
Momma Improvements:
Clearly stated, I don't really like the name. "Seductive". I mean, I'm a woman and yes, sometimes I'd like to be sexy and seductive for my husband, however, I feel it hard to purchase this for a teenager or younger girl as mistakenly giving them the wrong message that they NEED to be seductive. Call me weird.
Final Findings:
After a few weeks of using GUESS Seductive, I've gotten more compliments from various family members and even my husband. "Wow. You smell good. Is that just lotion?" Sounds so corny, but OH so true. I'm loving me some GUESS Seductive, no matter what the name is.
Buy It:
GUESS Seductive is available in select GUESS retail stores, perfumery chains, department stores and guessparfums.com for the suggested retail price of $52 for the 1.7 oz bottle. You can EVEN find GUESS Seductive Perfume on Amazon.com
