Today is the first day of March. HELLO SPRING! Just last week, the little guy and I were barefoot outside, playing with our playground ball, blowing bubbles, painting pictures, and eating ice-cream. It's just one of those little perks that ya' get when you live on the coast of Texas. The warm weather is here and I can't wait to jump right into our Spring Break.

One of our favorite things to do in this beautiful weather is go on a Backyard Bug Hunt. My 4-yr-old is all boy ALL the time and there's nothing quite like hunting for bugs, digging for worms, and examining them through glass jars. Thanks go Coghlan's we had the opportunity to try out two of their Kids Products, including the 7-Function Binoculars and the Buy-Eye Headlight. My son was BEYOND excited to get a hold on these.

We've had a few headlights in the past, due to my husband's job using them, however, the kids headlight we received from Coghlan's was a bit different because it was adjustable, yet comfortable for my son's head. It was also VERY easy to use, simply pushing the button. What we enjoyed the most, however, was the brightness of the LED light. Most headlights we've used were just a dim light, but this was bright enough to use outside or even in bed, while reading. Oh, and the light bulb NEVER needs replacing. Batteries? Probably, especially if your kids use their headlight as much as mine do.

Momma Improvements:

Suggestion for Parents: My 4-yr-old is a very rough and tumble kind of kid. These binoculars are very lightweight and pieced together perfectly. To me, it could be very easily broken when left in the hands of younger children unsupervised (speaking from experience with my tough little guy). I advise the use of older children 8 and up or being there to help little ones use the different functions.

Final Findings:

Through our use of Coglhan's Kids products, we've found that both the binoculars and headlight are perfect ways to spend time with the kids outdoors, discovering nature, finding new bugs, and enjoying time together.
