I was driving in the car with my husband and out of my mouth came nothing but gripes regarding all the bad pitches and emails I get in my inbox.

It crowds up my inbox.
I don't work for free.
She wants me to do what?
Like I'm going to sell an AD for that much.
If that rep "checks in for this review" one more time I'm going to lose it.
Seriously lose it.


I'm a blogger. I'm a mother. I'm a consultant. I'm able to do something I love, bring in a little household income, and be here for my children. I don't care who you are, if you have kids or not, that's a blessing.

It's a huge blessing.

So, yesterday, as I griped about the dog getting muddy AGAIN, the Wii remote flying towards the TV AGAIN, and the sound not working on my laptop AGAIN, I gained a little insight on just how lucky I am to be here, doing what I do.

All those little things really don't matter in the scheme of things. I should feel blessed that I'm getting pitches in my inbox. I should be happy that PR reps want me to work with them and showcase their clients. I should be smile because companies want to advertise with me.

This Music Monday, I start my week off by listening to Francesca Battastelli's newest song This is the Stuff. I can totally relate to the small things that frustrate her throughout the day.. like losing your phone. Eck. That's me EVERY single day. Where's my phone? Has anyone seen Mommy's phone?

Can I get a hallelujah for learning patience? My children have taught me so much in regards to how impatient I can become over the small things. God has used them as a tool to guide me and mold me into being... plainly put.. better.
