Well, if you guys know me, you might guess that I HAVE found the perfect gift that screams boy. Funrise Toys has the ultimate gift for boys, this year, with their Tonka Strong Arm series of trucks. I, happen to love the Garbage Truck and you know what? My 3-yr-old son can't get enough of it either!
About Tonka Strong Arm Garbage Truck:
The Strong Arm Garbage Truck is a burly free-wheeling vehicle with a multi-action trigger-lever built right in. Pull and rev-up the lever and watch the sparks fly in the arm’s window as the truck rumbles. Squeeze the lever’s trigger to raise the waste container into the truck’s hopper. There is also access to the back through a hinged door. This sturdy vehicle is kid-powered free-wheeling action!

I don't mean to sound cheesy, by any stretch of the imagination, but that's what I think of when I see this garbage truck. Down to the sounds of the vehicle, this toy screams boy and, definitely, brings out the imagination in my son. To give you a little peek at how much boys will love this, even my HUSBAND was on the ground playing! Check it out:
So, what did we like, other than the obvious look of the truck? Well, the best part of it all? There's NO batteries needed! Oh, how I love me non-battery operated toys. It leaves the whole headache out for Mommas like me who get tired of hearing, "Momma! I need batteries. My toy isn't working." That usually happens when I'm OUT of batteries. All you do is crank the "strong arm" on the truck and off it goes.
The Tonka Garbage Truck also has a life like garbage bin where your little guy can load it with whatever his little heart desires. Then unload it out of the back, just like a real garbage truck! Tell me your son doesn't like to watch the truck when it comes by your house? Mine can hear it from inside. Then, he runs to window to watch it in action.

Momma Improvements:
There aren't many things we didn't like about this toy. A few times, we cranked the arm and it didn't "go" so that was a bit frustrating, however, that was few and far between.
Final Findings:
At the end of the day, the Tonka Strong Arm Garbage Truck has been a hit for my 3-yr-old son and will continue to bring fun times in our backyard. In fact, I predict it'll be a part of those classic Tonka Trucks we'll hold onto for our Grandkids (It's that durable). C'mon, your family doesn't have that ONE Tonka Truck sitting in the attic? We do! So classic, we couldn't bear to get rid of it.
