As I ran through puddles of water and felt the rain hit my face, my husband reminded me, "Honey, need I say how out of character this is for you?" He was right. I don't usually do "out of the norm" type things such as encouraging my kids to play in the rain, but sometimes? You just got to.
I remember dancing in the rain with my oldest when he was about 3. It was out of the norm for me - but it is one of my fondest memories. He even remembers.
