It's a Brand New Day. The sun is shining bright. The house is clean. The kids are at school. *Gasp* Yes, today was the First Day of School and it's actually put a little hop in my Giddy Up.

Actually, it's put me in a REALLY good mood because, for the first time in MONTHS, I have structure back in the house, but am I fooling myself? Does it create MORE stress? Well, yes, but if you know me AT ALL, you know I thrive on structure, order, and schedules. My brain works better when I have a list of things that will happen or need to be done.


So, today I thought I'd wake up extra early, get dressed, put my make-up on, and cook a really tasty breakfast the kids will love, Breakfast Pizza! C'mon! It's fun, it's delicious, and thoughtful on my part, but the kids didn't want food this morning. They apologized, but said they weren't hungry.

Awesome.

I went out of my way to help pick out there clothes last night, only for them to change their mind when I walked out of the room.

Awesome.

I borrowed a curling iron from my neighbor because my daughter just HAD to have her hair curled, but when she realized curling irons are hot, she said she could go without.

Awesome.

I hit traffic, parked a million miles away from the school, and got eaten by ants walking the kids through the grass and to the school.

Awesome.

All this to say, I had this picture of how my day was going to be. Happy kids, happy food, happy Momma, happy school day, but it went nothing like I imagined. It never does. So, this Music Monday, as I was driving home, I ran into the sweet tune by Joshua Radin, Brand New Day. I just loved everything about it, that I had to run to my computer and look up the video on YouTube to find out more about this guy. That's when I SAW the video.
