Home Party: Discovering Kung Zhu Forces Up Close

Friday, July 9, 2010 Leave a Comment

My kids remember the night Kung Zhu landed on our doorstep. We were out to the movies at an Advanced Screening of Despicable Me. When we arrived home a HUGE box awaited our arrival. Inside we found the Delta Forces Tribe and the Skull Tribe just itching to battle it out in the Kung Zhu Battle Arena.

After sifting through our box, I realized we had ever item in the Kung Zhu line and we would share the fun with our friends by throwing a Kung Zhu Summer Party. There isn't anything better than new toys with good friends, so we invited a few over to play, discover, battle, and leave with their very own pet. Thanks to Mom Select, this IS the Summer of Kung Zhu and we were happy to show our friends what exactly they can do.

About Kung Zhu:

Introducing the hottest new line from Cepia evolving from of Zhu Zhu Pets...Kung Zhu Pets! These warrior hamsters are far from being the cute and cuddly Zhu Zhu Pets that everyone fell in love with. But make no mistake, these ultra cool, tough pets will be a sure competition to the original Zhu Zhu Pets! With eight original characters split into two battling groups called Special Forces and Ninja Warriors, Kung Zhu Pet owners will have the thrill of training each character to transform fighting, battling warriors. While these Kung Zhu hamsters may start of as "cute" and "mild-mannered" once they are sent into their main training grounds, smart chip technology will actually allow you to hear a distinct personality transformation of fighting ninja and warriors.

The Good Tribe and the Bad Tribe:

One thing you've GOT to learn about the Kung Zhu Hamsters is the difference between the "Good Tribe" and the "Bad Tribe". You've got Special Forces and Ninja Warriors. Each of the Ninjas has a hieroglyph or Dragon symbol on its bright and colorful fur while the Special forces have either a star or comet army sign. So, which side will you take?

Momma Findings Family Thoughts:

As I said before, Mom Select sent us every item in the Kung Zhu line of pets. We received 11 Hamsters, all their armor, vehicles, and training ground attachments. It took me, literally, all day to put it all together and it took up my WHOLE dining room, however, the kids were so excited to see it finally ready. We invited our friends over to battle with us and we had a lot of fun. Check it out:

Momma Findings Suggestions:

One thing I have to let fellow parents know about is the endless hours of putting the playsets together. It took me a while to figure out how to snap everything in together which led to aggravation on my son's part. Make sure you give your children the heads up that it'll take awhile to put together or, better yet, if you can... put the playsets together prior to giving the to your children.

Also, I find 11 Kung Zhu pets running around my house can be a little overwhelming. The sleep button is just a push away guys, especially when the kids have gone to bed and you still hear your sweet pets running through the room.

In the end, my children, especially my 8-year-old son, loved adopting these warriors into our home and training them to fight for the good of the Zhuniverse. The smile on his face was priceless:

Buy It:

Do you want to take the next step to battling the Zhuniverse? You can buy Kung Zhu hamsters and playsets at stores nationwide, such as: Target, Walmart, Toys R Us, and online at Amazon.com

This post and my home party made possible by Mom Select in partnership with Kung Zhu Pets who provided us with the Kung Zhu line of toys to share with our friends. Opinions here are, soley, my own and not wavered or compensated in any way, shape, or form.
