Wordless Wednesday: Right of Passage

Tuesday, June 29, 2010 Leave a Comment

The year after Kindergarten my children reach a right of passage. They plan a week long trip with their Grandparents. Zach went to the Smokey Mountains on his trip and last week it was Abby's turn. She tubed down the Guadalupe River, splashed at Schlitterbahn, and played Queen for the Day in the Lego Castle. This was the day I told her good-bye, my grown up girl.

What a fun idea!! I hope to be able to do something like this with my kids when they get a bit older. I was thinking taking them on trips for their birthdays!

Awww, I don't know if I would've been able to take the photo. I'd have too many tears in my eyes! What a big girl. :)

That's a fabulous way to reward the kids after a long school year and I'm sure it brings the kids and grandparents closer together. Memories they'll have for a lifetime.
