Last Christmas, his Ganee bought him a Webkinz Jr, but he had yet to adopt the pet. I didn't think he was ready to play on the laptop until he could fully understand the keyboard, mouse (or touchpad). He learned quick and we added Webkinz Jr. to our list of family friendly websites. A few weeks ago, my little one serenaded you guys with Twinkle Twinkle Litle Star. Ganz found my musical prodigy and quickly wanted to reward him with another Webkinz Jr. pet after hearing how much we enjoy them.
About Webkinz Jr.
Webkinz Jr. pets are lovable plush animals that each come with a unique Pet Code. You can adopt them online, feed them, play with them, and overall, take care of them as your own pet. Webkinz Jr. acts similar to Webkinz, however, it's designed to be easier and age appropriate for children ages 3-6.
Momma Family Family Thoughts:
Again, I'm going to fully disclose that I'm a little biased. We've been Webkinz fans for years now and they are in our family's Top 5 Best Toys for Kids list. Webkinz Jr. was a breath of fresh air when I first learned of the newly developed site for younger children. In fact, just a few years ago I thought I wish they made this site a little easier to navigate for younger children. This didn't deter my older children from learning their way around Webkinz World though. It would have just been easier in the beginning.
My 3-yr-old is a beginner in using the computer, but Webkinz Jr. helped him familiarize himself with my laptop. Within a week, he was pro. So, when Ganz asked if we'd like to receive another pet for him to enjoy, I did not hesitate.
We chose the NEW Giraffe, that my son named Leroy. He loves that you can earn Kinzcash (quite easily) and shop for your pet. He then delighted in feeding, bathing, and playing with both Leroy and Gabba (his previously owned Webkinz Jr. pet puppy). This was his favorite part, almost like he was the little Daddy and they were his kids. One other thing we enjoyed is that with each pet you adopt you unlock other places to go online. He jumped for joy when he saw a new theater pop up on his screen.
There are a variety of pets to choose from such as: puppies, bunnies, elephants, giraffes, and kittens. Oh, and they are SOOOOOOOO soft making them great for cuddle time at night.
Momma Findings Family Suggestions:
Most young children, especially 3-yr-old's don't have much patience and their understanding of how things work is very limited. So, when he learned that you can only do some of the activities once a day, well.... that didn't sit well with him, even after I explained it. So, as a parent who's "been there" already, keep that in mind when you're playing with your young child. There might be a few times they "lose their cool" as they discover their new found world has rules.
Overall, my son was SO excited with his new pet. I don't even have words for it, so I just have to show you:

Ohhh we love webkinz my 10 year old is on often, my middle doesn't care too much and it was too frustrating for my 5 year old.
My kids are 10, 6 and 5.
The ones we have are alley cat, beagle, black & white cat, black cat, brown dog, bulldog, chocolate lab, clownfish, daisy tortoise, eagle, fox, frog, gecko, leopard, manatee, moose, penguin, pink poodle, pug, rooster, rotweiller, st bernard, tiger, tree frog, yorkie.

I didn't put my kids' ages and their pets, I wasn't sure if that was an extra entry??
Anyway, we have a cat Chloe, and my kids range from 3-30.
My daughter is 2 yr old and has never used the Webkinz site. We actually just received our first Webkinz (Love monkey) in the mail yesterday from a giveaway I won :)

We have a webkinz account. We're up to about 12 webkinz now. We have the fish, monkey, black bear, elephant pair, camel, etc. What is great is that, at 2, she loves playing with the stuffed animals and I love decorating her webkinz rooms. Fun for all ages!
