It's one big stormy weekend in our little town, and we're, once again, stuck indoors to witness the rain pour down outside. The sun isn't shining, but I'm surrounded by flowers, rainbows, and butterflies. Oh, and don't rule out the robots, tigers, and enough-make believe spaghetti to last me a month!
My children and I are digging deep into our imagination and creating all kinds of fun with these amazingly flexible building sticks called Bendaroos. My kitchen table is covered in hundreds of sticks in all kinds of colors and, at this point, our building possibilities are endless which makes this rainy day that much more fun.

Last Christmas, my son decided to buy his sister a pack of Bendaroos, however, there were so many presents that this one got pushed to the back of her closet and we hadn't opened it yet. So, when Bendaroos asked if I'd review their new themed packs for Spring Crafts, the light went off in my head. Let's compare. What would be different between the themed pack and the mega pack we have. It's the same great product, but wondered if the bigger pack would be too much (you know us Mommas don't like picking up all those sticks) or if the themed pack would be more up our alley. Here's what we thoughts:

Momma Findings Improvements and Suggestions:
It's a little hard. I say this after witnessing my 7-year-old grow frustrated when he tried to make spirals with more that one stick. It takes practice, so if your child grows impatient easily, you might want to stick around at the table with him/her to help out.
There's lots of them. Yup. Sticks. Those fun little sticks are a lot of fun, but when it's clean up time you're left with this:
Is it worth it? I'd say so. As the lightening lit up the room through the window, we enjoyed hours of playtime together. Now should you purchase the themed pack or the mega pack. If you're just starting out, like us, I'd say go with the themed pack. You're not overwhelmed with so many sticks and you can focus on a theme, such as Fun Food. Our theme pack came with four bags of sticks and one creation guide, perfect for first time Bendaroos users.
Buy It:
Looking to buy Bendaroos? You can purchase yours by visiting www.bendaroosfun.com, but you can also find them at various stores. My son bought his sister's Bendaroos gift at Target. Prices vary, however, the food themed pack we sampled retails for the suggested price of $5.99.

- Limited Possibilities: Your imagination is limitless. Throw in 100 bendable wax sticks and the possibilities are also limitless. There are so many things to create from animals, food, vehicles, drawings, names to display on your wall, etc. I like that there is no end to how to play, how to create, and each time we play as a family it will be different.
- Stickiness: This is my favorite. These are wax sticks, however, they stick to one another quite nicely and even on surfaces, but are also easy to pull apart. My son asked if we could make his name on a cardboard piece of paper and insert it in a frame for his wall. Great idea!
- Instructions: There are clear instructions for different models or creations. We received the Food Themed pack so there were instructions for spaghetti, but also for the plate, fork, and meatballs. Instructions are clear and step-by-step so it's hard to get confused.
- Colors: Each package offers an array of colors in several sticks. Need yellow for the sun? It's there. Need MORE yellow for flowers? It's there too.
- 2D and 3D Option: Since these stick to eachother you can create on flat on the surface of a table or go the 3D route and build a creation right in your hands, like our "Stick Man".
