Aquafina FlavorSplash: Mom, What is Kiwi?

We're the poster family for Aquafina. Well, at least that's what a friend of mine told me as she pointed to all three of my children gulping their FlavorSplash water at the same time. It was a photo op that I, regretfully, missed.
In all seriousness, we've had a really great time participating as an Aquafina FlavorSplash Mom. I've learned a lot about what flavors my children like, how to get them to drink water, and, more importantly, weaned myself off the Diet Coke. I DID say I wanted to do that, remember? Don't get me wrong, I still have, at least, one a day, but water has taken the place of a lot of my unhealthy habits and it feels great to be hydrated again (and if you live in SouthEast Texas, you KNOW what I mean by that).
We've sampled three Aquafina flavors, thus far: Wild Berry, Lemon, and this week's flavor is Strawberry-Kiwi. When my UPS guy left our package on the doorstep, I immediately knew this was our next shipment and couldn't wait to get it chilled. What did I find?
Along with our new Flavor, I also received more coupons for FREE 6 pack of Aquafina FlavorSplash water. These coupons have been a hit with friends at my daughter's cheer class who confided in me regarding her Dr. Pepper addiction. Yes. Yes. We all have them. My inner demon was Diet Coke. So, it was interesting that by simply adding flavor to our water, we could overcome this. I'll be doing some fun activities regarding some of these coupons so stay tuned.
After three weeks of sampling, my 3-year-old now has a routine of lining the bottles up in our fridge. Take a look:
It gives him something to do and he feels like he's helping Momma all at the same time. Thanks to Mom Central and Aquafina, my toddler is polishing his organizational skills, but he is also asking lots of questions. "Mom, what is a Kiwi?" *Gasp* I'm a bad Momma! My child has never heard of, let alone, eaten a Kiwi. So, I did what most Moms would do... took him to the grocery store to touch, feel, and smell Kiwi. We bought a few and compared the water to the fruit.
My children were on "Fruit Overdrive" and it gave me the chance to sit and talk to them about what kind of fruit they want to keep in the house and why.
"Strawberries, but we can get Kiwi next time we're feeling furry." Really? Furry? I guess that's what the thought of the outside? All in all, we've had a great time test-tasting and discovering healthy habits as a family.
Moms, what do you do to get your children to eat more fruit? Special shopping trips? Farmers Markets? Recipes?.

I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for Aquafina FlavorSplash and have received various FlavorSplash samples to facilitate my participation. Mom Central will send me a gift card at the end of the program.
