We're constantly connected through platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, but what happens when you're On-the-Go? If you're like me, you simply "connect" with your cell phone, however, why stop there? Companies across the country are now providing Wi-Fi devices that help you connect to their 3G networks. Verizon has their Mi-Fi and built in Hotspot on their Palm Pre Plus, but Sprint is leading the charge by launching 4G coverage (in select cities) with their NEW Overdrive device.
I had the opportunity to sit down over some crawfish bisque and discuss this product with a couple of Sprint Representatives and when it was all said and done, I drove home completely "connected."
Now granted, I'm not a Sprint Customer. Do you guys remember my month long series reviewing my new Verizon Palm Pre Plus? Yeah. So, I'm a Verizon customer, only familiar with Verizon products, and a little biased to my Verizon Wireless store because the folks that work there have been pretty much awesome to me, HOWEVER, I feel like I was a little, how you say, jipped through the whole process of the Palm Pre. Why? Because I purchased my phone, with the help of the Verizon Mom Blogger campaign, however, about a month later Verizon is promoting their Palm Pre phones at a lower price AND offering free Mobile HotSpot service. What gives?
So, as I'm a little whiny over it, but a little giddy because Sprint launched their 4G network here in Houston, along with their new Overdrive Mobile Hotspot, who NEEDS Verizon's hotspot on their phone?
What did I think?
I'm sad to say that my Overdrive is simply a loaner. I've gotten so used to being connected when I'm away that this thing is going to be hard to give up. The Overdrive device can connect up to 5 devices wirelessly. Think about it, what do you connect while you're traveling or in the car?
In the next few weeks, I'll take you guys in on how we use our Sprint OverDrive, what we like, what we dislike, how it connects, and basically show you guys how easy it can be to stay connected and for all you bloggers out there...... blog wherever you go, because you KNOW that's our ever frustration when we travel, right? Admit it.
This post made possible by Sprint who took me to an AWESOME lunch and provided me with the Overdrive mobile hotspot device. Opinions here are, solely, my own and have not been wavered or compensated in any other way.

- Laptop
- Nintendo DSi
- iPod Touch
- iPad (if you're lucky enough to have one)
- Cell Phone (if your coverage is majorly sucking)
- MP3 Player
- Camera
