If I was filling out a my resume, I'd include so many titles for myself: Mom, Editor, Website Manager, Cook, Driver, Boo-Boo Kisser, Alarm Clock, Social Media Enthusiast, Brand Adovacate, Family Historian, Twit-Picker, and the list goes on and on. Alright, not many companies would be really interested in the fact that I can rock a baby to sleep like nobody's business or that I love taking pictures of every single moment of our lives, nevertheless, there it is.
I'm a photographer of life. I didn't say I was good at it. I didn't say my pictures ALWAYS turn out perfect, but what I am saying is that there is a frozen moment in life captured with every shutter of the camera. But what if, for some reason, pigs actually fly and I forget my camera at home? What then? How will the pictures turn out if I use my cell phone? *gasp*
Well, I have had those crazy Momma moments where the camera was forgotten at home. I've also had those moments where I just didn't feel like carrying around my big Nikon (no offense to Nikon, I love, love, love, my camera). I've also had instances where I wanted to Twitpic amazing moments in my day, like when we visited SeaWorld.
During my Verizon Palm Pre Plus Mommy Blogger journey, I've discovered just how easy it is to multi-task with this phone. There is no doubt about it, the Verizon's Palm Pre Plus is going to be one of the best phones out there for 2010, but I've got to add that this phone. This Palm. This device takes AWESOME pictures, better than my previous BlackBerry Storm. Let me show you.
This was the first few days of owning this phone. I thought I'd take a stroll with it at the park. It was a fairly windy day and I just wanted to run with my guy all around that playground. Lugging a camera just wasn't in the cards, but check out how clear his smile shines through:
I know you're probably tired of hearing about my trip to SeaWorld, but I can't post this picture without mentioning it. Imagine the craziness of an amusement park. Now throw in rain, tired children, backpacks, strollers, snacks. Get the picture? The LAST thing you want to do is whip out your nice camera, but your phone is right there in your pocket, waiting for the magical show to begin:
It's one of those nights. You have a sitter, but you're husband is working. You think to yourself Self. What SHALL I do tonight? Then you get the call. Your BFF. An invite to witness the madness at Wal-mart at Midnight. Yes, New Moon is hitting stores on DVD that night and you can't help yourself. You don't even want the movie, but you want to see the craziness with your own eyes and possibly have a laughing moment as you see the mobs of people knock each other down as they whip over to the poor Wal-Mart employee who is bringing it out:
There's no doubt about it. Verizon Palm Pre Plus has it, the ability to freeze time right there on your cell phone screen to Twitpic to the world! [Insert Evil Laugh Here]
Tell me cell phone users, do you usually take pictures with your cell? How is the quality? Do you cringe at the thought? If you actually LIKE the way your pictures come out, tell me what phone you have.
Stay tuned for more on my journey with the NEW Palm Pre Plus until the end of March. Will I ultimately take over the world with it? Probably not, but I sure am having fun!
This post made possible by Verizon Wireless who provided me with the Palm Pre Plus and one month of service. Opinions here are solely my own and have not been wavered by products received or compensated in any other way.
