I was driving down the road with a friend of mine. Okay, one of my best friends EVER. He has almost the exact same music on his iPhone as I do on my iPod. It doesn't surprise me because I only pick the most amazing people to be friends with, but as we were driving the other night he turns to me and says, "Have you downloaded that new Chris Tomlin Song?!"
Well, I knew exactly what song he was talking about, but had not yet downloaded it. He beat me. So, he plays it for me and as we sang together he mutters words that, to most, might sound silly, but to me.. they made perfect sense.
"This song sounds like it was written by a child. No! Our God is stronger. Our God is Greater!."
Imagine a child saying those words to another child and ending it was the classic "sticking out of the tongue." Can you picture it? It sounds silly, but if you really think about it. A Child's Faith is one of the purest you'll ever encounter. They haven't seen evil and experienced temptation as we have as adults. They have an innocent heart where they KNOW their God will always come through.
Their faith in family, parents, and God is everything to them.
So, yeah... I could see these words coming out of a child, my children to be more exact. I can also dip into that innocence and say... My God IS Greater, Awesome in Power.
Album- Passion: Awakening
opened the eyes of the blind
there's no one like you
none like you
Into the darkness you shine
out of the ashes we rise
there is no one like you
none like you
Our God is greater
Our God is stronger
God you are higher than any other
Our God is Healer
Awesome in power
Our God
Our God
Into the darkness you shine
out of the ashes we rise
there is no one like you
none like you
Our God is greater
Our God is stronger
God you are higher than any other
Our God is Healer
Awesome in power
Our God
Our God
Bridge:
and if our God is for us
then who could ever stop us
and if our God is with us
then what could stand against
