Did you guys know I got a new job as a referee?!

Okay, Okay, I didn't. However, in the last month I've played one, as I listened to my children fight over the one scooter we have. One of our scooters bit the dust a few weeks ago and I haven't heard the end of it ever since. You try convincing a 7-year-old son, a 6-year-old daughter, and a "No Fear" 2-year-old to share one Princess scooter.

So, when Bravo Sports asked if I'd like to review the new, AWESOME, Pulse Slither Scooter... Do you think I said no?!

First off, I've got to tell you guys a little about the Pulse Slither:

The first innovative three-wheeled scooter of its kind, the Pulse Slither offers the ability to pull off tricks and maneuvers that are simply not possible on any traditional scooter.

The Pulse Slither translates the fun of riding a snowboard, skiing or surfing into a street toy. It can be ridden facing forward or standing to one side and is propelled by “slithering” from side to side or by pushing with your foot, opening up even more trick possibilities and making it that much harder to put away. The two large front wheels and rudder-like rear wheel with variable tension gives the rider the freedom to drift in and out of turns, zip around corners, execute lightning-quick 180º turns and adjusts to their skill level.

Alright, a THREE wheeled scooter? Tell me that's not plain cool?! Being a Texas family, there isn't any snow to go snowboarding and the waves aren't big enough or close enough for surfing. The experience of doing either activity right in your driveway is outstanding!

Before I tell you guys what we liked and what we thought needed improvements. Check it out in action!




What We Liked

• Foot Board- For inexperienced scooter riders, the wide foot board is excellent to keep your balance. We've tried other scooters with skinny boards and my children's feet kept sliding off. It also has an Anti-Slip deck with traction to keep your feet from falling.

• Wheels- There are two wheels in the front and ONE in the back. First we thought it was a little weird, but realized it gives you ease when gliding. It makes every turn really smooth! The big wheels in the front also keeps the rider balanced.

• Design- I've gotta say, the design on the foot board itself just SCREAMS cool! Check it out:



• Color Options: We received the Electric Blue “Skull Wing”, but it also comes in Toxic Green “Von Scroll.”

• Easy Assembly: My husband looked at all the parts and grumbled, however, it took him less than 10 minutes to put the whole thing together. Then we were ready to rock it!

• Handlebar Grips: The knobbed hand bars keeps the rider in control.

Momma Improvements & Suggestions

• Speed: This scooter gives you quite the thrill. Riders can go ultimate speeds with extreme turns. My 7-year-old never wore a helmet or knee pads when riding his older scooter because he really didn't have the option of doing fun tricks or going really fast. With the Pulse Slither, you'll need knee/elbow pads and a helmet. We've already scraped our knees pretty bad due to falling.

• Assembly: Although this was really easy to assemble, my husband realized a nut came off one of the two bolts that holds it together had fallen. This made the handlebars loose and dangerous. Once we realized the problem, we simply replaced it and made SURE to tighten it as much as we can.

• No Kickstand: I'm really not sure this would be the answer to the problem, however, my son leaves the scooter for 5 seconds and it starts to roll away. At one point, we found it in the middle of the street. It rolled from our driveway! There is no way to keep it at a "stand still" unless you lay it down. Maybe a kick-stand of some sort?

All in all, this is definitely one cool scooter once you take the necessary precautions such as a helmet and knee pads. I mean, even Daddy couldn't help himself! Definitely an idea for Holiday Gift giving!
