Sara Say What about Marriage & Travel?

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 Leave a Comment

Today is my VERY first post in my weekly series entitled Sara Say What?! I'll be talking and vlogging about what God is sharing with me about Motherhood, Marriage, and Friendship. Sometimes it'll be full of advice and others... well it might be me asking YOU for advice.

Let's talk Marriage and Travel, yeah?

(And don't ask me why YouTube decided to still shot my face so weird)

Reflections

-Do you travel a lot?
-How do you keep communication open with your spouse?
-Want to share your travel experiences and how they affect your marriage?

goodness girl! you may have "only" been married for 8 years but your insight is o wise and really spoke to this 26+ year married veteran.
i have to say that getting on your knees and praying with your spouse can sometimes be the most amazing, intimate experience with your spouse.
thanks needed this sweet bit of encouragement as this year (and next) i am traveling more than my hubs.

Great advice. I am getting married in January and my (soon-to-be) husband will be deploying in the early summer. I need lots of prayer on that. I'm trying to come up with ways that we can keep our marriage strong while he's in a combat zone.

AdvinJuggling- You're so sweet to say that! I feel weird giving marriage advice and talking about it with being only married for 8 years. You've really encouraged me to just do what I set out to do and talk about it via VLOG!

SaraRuth- Wow. I wish I had more advice for a Military Wife, however, I think the traveling can still make sense with your husband being away. There are definitely creative ways to stay "connected" during is deployment.

Thank you for sharing your heart with us, and for making us stop and think about what is really important...Prayer and communication, is something that we all need in our marriages but few of us make the time for everyday...

Totally agree with you on the praying together! Praying together has helped me and my husband so many times--we could be arguing and not getting anywhere with solutions and when we kneel down and pray with each other it always so much better!
I just LOVE your Sara say whats....

I think I need to know the channel of Melissa's Blog talk radio because I would LOVE to listen to her show! I was somewhat interested in becoming a talk show host as well---Just thinking of topics....

Any-hoo I hope you are not sick of me yet. When I find a really good blog like yours I like to scour old posts for their material. And I love, love that you do not swear in your blog. I had to stop following some people recently because they could not lay off the swearing...so thanks for keeping the profanity out. It is MUCH appreciated!
Look forward to talking to you again. You went to SITisifcation? How fun is that! Have you been to a Blogher conference? How long have you been blogging?
