Halloween Fun: Edible Eyeballs

Thursday, October 29, 2009 Leave a Comment

After recovering from the flu, my family really needs to boost our immune system with healthy foods, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun on Halloween, right??

Let me share this really simple, yet Spooky Halloween Snack idea, courtesy of Disney Family Fun:

Ingredients
Carrots
Cream cheese
Pitted black olives

Instructions
Simply slice carrots into 1-inch-thick chunks, top each with a blob of cream cheese and one half of a pitted olive, and serve.

What are you guys doing for Halloween?
With all the extra candy left over, what do you do with access?

I like that idea! Thanks, Sara! I'm glad you guys are all feeling better. We did the same thing around here and you discover pretty fast that sleep is a precious commodity! And as far as the candy excess- I will reluctantly that I eat more than I should. We try to ration it out and after the good stuff is gone (chocolate) I usually end up throwing it away. A local dentist offers a trade in for candy, but we've never done it.

Jen, that's really cool that a dentist offers in a trade in for candy! I wonder if there is something like that here?

We usually trick or treat, pick out the candies we want, then "re-give" to trick or treaters. We usually dont' end up with much, if any, access.
