During a conversation with my Mother-In-Law a few weeks ago, I said, "Sid the Science Kid is one the best shows for preschoolers right now. We love that purple haired family."
Seriously.
I don't usually talk cheesy, like that, but REALLY. We love us some Sid! Of course I felt this way BEFORE I was given the opportunity to check out these cool DVDS:

One of favorite episodes is the Mushy Bananas. My children always gag when I offer them a slightly brown banana. When we watched Sid explore the reason behind the browning, I could ACTUALLY see the light bulb go off in their heads! My son says, "Mom, that's SO cool!"

As my 5 and 2-year-old sat watched this DVD and were all about the ocean! It was so cool to have them interested in a new show and asking questions like, "Mom, what is a Submarine?" Not only will preschoolers have fun under the sea with Olly and Beth, two young submarines-in-training – the DVD also teaches kids fascinating facts about ocean life and some important life lessons, too. Dive Olly Dive will be available in stores today August 4th.

Neither I, nor my three kids, have ever seen Sid the Science Kid (we don't have cable TV), but we'd like to. My kids love to watch Max and Ruby and Caillou on the DVD player.

My kids loved Sesame Street when they were little; now that they are grown up, they favor Scrubs and Dr. Who!
