"Welcome, Little One" Book Release Giveaway!

Friday, April 3, 2009 Leave a Comment

As most of you guys know, I'm a Momma to three little ones. The youngest is 2 years old, but I remember the pregnancy and birth like it was yesterday. An amazing time to celebrate bringing a little one into this world, don't you think?

Welcome, Little One is a deluxe interactive novelty book celebrating the magic and joy that come with the arrival of a new baby - an irresistibly sweet gift!

About the book:

In this special interactive gift book, beloved author and artist Sandra Magsamen celebrates the miracle of baby's arrival. With soothing, lulling text and a wide variety of novelty elements, including touch-and-feels, pull-tabs, lift-the-flaps, a musical sound chip, pop-ups and more, readers are invited to remember all of the special moments that are experienced when baby arrives.

I had the opportunity to review Welcome, Little One and was more than impressed. Although, we are not expecting a baby, it definitely speaks loudly to my 2 year old. The front cover has a big puffy heart and is big enough for little hands to help turn the pages. Open it up and you'll find beautifully illustrated pages with pop-ups, lift flaps, touch & feels, and a cool surprise I wasn't expecting... a song! What an amazing gift for expectant mothers!

Want a sneak peek of what's inside?

Hi, Wow. Would love to win this. So adorable. What could be sweeter? My favorite childhood book was The Little House. I still have it and I read it all the time to all 4 of my children through the years. I love the little house and the seasons of the trees around it and the family playing in the yard. Amazingly, it looks just like our house now. Thanks and many blessings, Stefanie Hartman fhartman@frontiernet.net

The Dr. Seuss "Sleep Book". It was my favorite as a child, and it is my favorite today. My parents used to read it to me when i was young and now i read to my baby.
Many of Seuss' books focus on characters and stories (Cat in the Hat), or on his delightful wordplay (Green Eggs and Ham, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish). The Sleep Book focuses instead on almost pure imagination. I just love it.

My favorite childhood book was Goodnight Moon. I read it to my children now. I like that it is easy to read and my kids can become very familiar with it.

My favorite book from my childhood - Barthlomew and the Oobleck - I loved it then, and I have read it to my children. Now, I read it to my ELL students at school. Thanks for this chance.

Lyle the Crocodile was my favorite book. No I don't currently read the book to my child. It wasn't really the book that made it my favorite, it was the fact that my grandma would read this book to me.
