Cart-Stopper Review & Giveaway

Monday, January 5, 2009 Leave a Comment

About six months ago, I had my three children along with me on errands at my local grocery store. I know I dont' have to tell most of you Mommas how stressful that can be. As I walked out I realized the wind became fierce and it was obviously about to storm.

I was almost to the finish line, the grocery store was my last stop and the marathon of the day would be over. As I'm getting the groceries into the trunk, my daughter asks me to help her with the door to get in. I literally took my eyes off the grocery cart, which held all my groceries and very precious cargo... my toddler. He screamed in excitment as the cart started rolling into the middle of the driving lane of the parking lot.

You have NEVER seen a Momma move so fast to catch it. The incident lasted a whole 8 seconds, but my heart was racing, my guilt overwhelmed me, and I thought to myself There has to be a better way!

In fact, there IS a better way with Cartstopper! This a device designed specifically for those grocery trips. It works like a suction cup, adhering your cart to your vehicle, so you can have those extra hands to put groceries away AND keep your child safe.

Dyanna, the creator of Cart Stopper by My Lil' Monkey's, generously sent me my own Cart Stopper to use and I was more than anxious to try it out. I was not at all suprised to find out it is so easy to use! You stick the "plunger" end to your vehicle and the other end between the bars of the grocery cart. You then lock it in place and your are done! Your cart stays in place and your mind is at ease.

The Cart Stopper is not at all huge and bulky so you can carry it easily in your purse or diaper bag or if you're like me and forget things easily, you can just leave it in the trunk of your car. This gadget is all about function, but you can proudly display your favorite color by choosing Red, Light Blue, or Pink.

Retailing for 9.99 you can head over to Cartstopper.com and make a purchase or click here for retail locations.

Just a few weeks ago I had taken my son out of the cart and started to buckle him into his carseat, sure enough off goes the cart and my 18 month old is not buckled in, luckily I was able to stop the cart with the tip of my foot while still holding onto my son. happens alot.

One day while shopping her shopping cart with her young son got away from her and rolled right into oncoming traffic and it was almost hit. I'm sure there are a thousand other cases like this and this is a wonderful item. Thank you!

Thankfully we havnt had any incidents with the kids, but with groceryies we have. When my twins were still in their infant carseats we went to superstore, My hubby pushed the cart full of groceries plus one baby in carseat and i had another cart with other baby in carseat. We were snapping the carseats into bases when a car beeps apparently the cart full of groceries roll backwards a bit..it didnt hit anyone and thankfully it was just groceries in it! We were too busy putting the kids ithe car to notice, good thing it wasnt teh other way around!!

Thanks for the chance to win!!!

The Cart-Stopper was invented by Dyanne & Kevin Houlihan after they couldn't find anything that would keep their grocery cart next to their vehicle.
