Crayola Scribble & Sing Art Station Review & Giveaway

Monday, December 29, 2008 Leave a Comment

Every week my children receive a package in the mail. Like clockwork, Gannee (My Mother-In-Law) send a package full of goodies to show my children how much she misses them, loves them, and thinks of them all the way in TX. A lot of the items in there are age appropriate for 5 & 6 year old's and she is always careful to send items geared towards my toddler, but OH NO! He does NOT like to be left out. He thinks he is just as big as his brother and sister. If they have markers, he wants them. If they have paint, he wants it.

So, it was really cool to my Momma mind when I learned about Crayola's Tadoodles line of art supplies geared for little hands. We had the opportunity to review the Scribble & Sing Art Station and my toddler was thrilled to "draw" just like big brother!

The TaDoodles Scribble and Sing Art Station offers playful inspiration that gets tiny artists drawing lines, dots, zig zags, waves, and squigglesto the sound of music. The engaging, developmental toy features some of toddlers’favorite things --cheery music, flashing lights, bright colors and “TaDoodlescharacter markers. In tune with the rest of the Crayola Beginnings line, TaDoodles are smartly designed to fit into the palms of little hands, making it easy and fun for young children to scribble as far as their imaginations take them.

From the "get go" this has been a very easy toy to work with. We took it out of the box, placed the AA batteries in it, and voila! It's ready to go! It even comes with an oversized drawing sheet! It's so simple for my toddler (who will be 2 in February). With music, lights, and markers perfect for his hands he was all smiles.

We did, however, have to show him that he must shake the marker in order to start drawing. He got the hang of it really quickly and didn't need Momma to help after a few minutes. Other than the half hour of entertainment for him, I really enjoyed how easy it is to clean up. We have white kitchen chairs and when I saw marks of red and green (he is a very festive child) all over them I was about to turn into "Crazy Momma", but with a wet dish towel it came right off. There was no need for soap or cleaner it was clean instantly. I can't tell you how important it is for us Moms when we read "washable" on the back of packages and they REALLY mean "washable". Gotta love Crayola!
