**Note: If you've had a blissful Mommy Day full of singing, cuddles, and kisses.. You MIGHT not want to read this**

So, today has been one of those days. Last night it felt like I had a newborn all over again, because the Ole' Toddler was waking every hour for no reason what so ever, SO.. I'm exhausted beyond means.

I actually made my husband come pick us up for lunch because I couldn't spend one more minute with this crazy, hormonal, toddler. I love him. He is a blessing, but something has GOT to give!

I found myself telling Brian, in the car, "I just need something. A Drink. A Zoloft. A Valium, A SOMETHING." He looked at me like I was crazy, but I FEEL crazy. This loving sweet little man of mine won't let me leave a room without screaming. He won't let me go pee without screaming. He won't let me get dressed, brush my teeth, wash a dish, grab a snack, blink, breath, or sit without screaming. He has been so clingy and has literally been attached to my leg or my arm for the last week.

I'm tired.

I'm tired.

I. AM. TIRED.

So, as I tried to explain my "tired state" to sweet Hubs he tells me, "Enjoy it. The day is going to come where you'll miss it more than anything. Ask my Mom." I've got news for ya' hun............................

TODAY IS NOT THE DAY!

About 2 miles before getting home, Rudy, AKA: "The Toddler", had fallen asleep in the car. Now, let me tell you folks, he has NEVER fallen asleep in the car. Nope, not when he was a newborn, not when it was dark, not on a 16 hour trip from TX to NC, not EVER. He must feel the tiredness in my soul that he couldn't help, but doze off. He EVEN stayed asleep while I moved him from the car to the crib.

Huh. That's a first.

Instead of jogging on the treadmill, which I really need to do, I thought I'd take a siesta of my own while the older two sit back to a movie. Our house is oddly small so it's like they were in the same room as me, for all of you who were gasping at the fact that I might sleep while my children watch TV.

Well, after 45 minutes of restful bliss, I awoke to my sweet Abby and Zach eating a snack of their own. Want to know what they were having?

They EACH had a "Zoo Pals" plastic butter knife.

One had a jar of soy butter (we've banned peanut butter from the house due to Rudy's allergy)

The other had a small cup in which she squeezed Miracle Whip in to.

Umm........Ewwwwwwww.... Gross!

Both were munching away with their plastic butter knives as content as they can be. I'm willing to trade a good rest of sanity for a little grossness from the older children.

Wouldn't You?!

DOH! Gotta go, Rudy is screaming YET AGAIN!

*whimpers*

Save. Me.

Oh I hope this is just a phase for Rudy. That's a good way to wear mom out! If you get a chance, check out the link to Angi on my blog. She wrote a post about enjoying the fingerprints that's really good!
Miracle Whip? Gross. However, my husband talks of ketchup sandwiches when they were little, so....I think that ranks right up there.

I know what you're going through with your youngest, we just had a phase like that for the past month or so with my youngest, it was AWFUL! I really didn't know what was going on, it was like he turned in to a different little boy! The past two days though, he's been back to normal, I'm not holding my breath but, just know, there's hope. I know that's no comfort now though. I've had many sleepless nights the past month and nothing helped my exhaustion and that "I've just had enough!" feeling.

As for the mayo snack, ewww!! haha

That's not any worse than Ranch dressing on bread. Ask Brian about that one!

ok that made me want to throw up - totally gross!

my brother has a total aversion to mayo - he is so serious about no mayo in his life that he asked his now wife how she felt about mayo on their first date

LOL that is too funny! Believe it or not my oldest has "made himself a sandwhich" before that consisted of mayo and peanut butter- and he ate every bite! I've had days like this and will have many more I'm sure- I feel your pain! Glass of wine anyone? :)

I hope Rudy is just going through a phase and not getting a bug of some sort.

I've never eaten MW by itself but I have put it on strange things. I used to dip french fries in it! lOL!

Yikes, not my kind of snack! Didn't you teach them anything about chocolate? Cookies? Cheezits? Ugh!

I hope Rudy's little phase passes soon to help you out...it's just that...a phase. That doesn't help for now, I know, but it's true!
