Time for Tea with a Green Toys Giveaway

My daughter is 5 years old and I really don't know when she'll outgrow having tea parties. Honestly? I hope she never does. I mean, I'm 27 and I'd DIE to have a cute Tea Set and relax with my girlfriends!
This Holiday Season go green and give that sweet girl in your life a toy sure to please. I'm talking about the Green Toys Tea Set:
With a sleek and simple look you can have a tea party knowing that you are doing your part to help the environment. Green Toys are made right here in the USA, California to be exact, and made from recycled milk jugs. Did you really think that milk jug that you put in the recycle bin could make such cute toys?!
If you're thinking How much am I REALLY saving when I choose to buy Green Toys? Well think about it this way:
That's a pretty big impact, right?!
I was lucky enough to try the Green Toys Tea Set which includes 17 Pieces:
-Tea Pot with Lid
-Sugar Bowl with Lid
-Creamer
-Four sets of Cup & Saucers
-Four Spoons
Wanna know what made me fall in love with this set? THE PACKAGING! Yes, it was so easy to open, which helped this Momma out immensely. My daughter was getting anxious and breathing down my back as I opened it. She didn't have to wait long because all Green Toys products are packaged in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties, and are 100% recyclable. Earth-friendly AND ready for your recycling bin. Perfect!
Buy It
For ages 3 and up you can purchase your own Green Toys Tea Set at Amazon.com or other fine retailers for the average price of 24.99.
Win it!

LOVE the cooking set- looks so sweet as well as the gardening set.
Well even with the price of gas low,we save and consolidate the trips we have to do. We also unplug and turn off things, and the biggest is we are trying to really save this year by if one says I am cold- we will say- go put on socks- etc, adn the heat will not have to be pumped...we are all so used to be comfortable immediately in life -so we make the kids and everyone think- will a pair of extra socks or slippers or wearing a robe or sweatshirt warm them up? We do the 3 rs too.
I like the sand play set.
The indoor gardening set is such a cute toy.
3kidsnus at gmail dot com
extra entry - we try to keep the lights off as much as possible, recycle when we remember and have switched to skoy cloths instead of paper towels.

extra entry - you're on my blogroll

I would love the indoor garndening set - the kids all love to help me in the yard in teh spring.
As far as conservation; I readjusted all of toilets to be as low flow as possible; we've converted every available lightbulb to the halogens;and I dry loads of laundry one after another so the dryer doesn't have to work so hard to warm up.
I'm a stalker - I mean! follower!
My son would love the cookware and dining set!! He has a play kitchen that he plays with all the time, but uses my old dishes in it
We use cloth diapers to help be green.

I'm all about the Sand Play Set. We recycle and compost as a family. If you misbehave - it's onto the compost pile with you!
My daughter would definitley love this tea set! She'd also love the cooking and dining set I saw on their site.

Thank you for offering this giveaway. I'd love to win this for my daughter. Having a Tea Party would be so much fun.
To save energy, we installed the energy saving bulbs throughout our home. We only run the dishwasher when it is very much filled. We try to keep the thermostadts at a reasonable temperature.
Thanks so much.
Nearly every light bulb has been replaced with energy efficient ones. We also emphasize leaving lights and such off unless necessary.
We re-use and recycle as much as possible.
The Sand Play set looks great! I hope they come up with some more play sets soon!
We try to do what we can to save energy, but keeping our thermostat at 63 during the day and lower at night, and also having just one car.
I have had my eye on this tea set for some time. Hope my number comes up! Around our house, we keep the thermostat low, turn out lights, don't run water while we're brushing our teeth. We also recycle and try to buy used when it makes sense rather than new -- good for the environment and the pocketbook!
The cookware and dining set is great! My son loves playing kitchen with his friends and babies but everyone ends up eating from the utensils and cups, and I would love a set that's chemical free and really green.
We use energy efficient bulbs, make sure to turn off the lights and walk instead of taking the car.
We use the the florescent energy saving bulbs. They last longer and burn half the energy. We also fill up two large recycle bins with mostly plastic bottles and etc every week. We also try to maintain the thermostat at a consistant low temperature as well.

I recieved a 4 pack of them a while ago :o)
I turn off lights and power switches when things are not needed.
The indoor gardening set would be fun.
The Indoor gardening kit looks super cute!

Very cute. I also like their sand play set; it's perfect for the beach.
We're learning to reduce our need for paper towels by cleaning up spills etc... with rags from old t-shirts.
I would love to try the indoor gardening kit.

the cookware and dining set would compliment the tea set perfectly.
I'm already a fan of Green Toys. My next best fave (after the tea set, of course) is the Indoor Gardening Kit. So much so we already ordered it!
Our family is pretty severe about electricity usage. We believe that the only room that needs a light on is the one you're in. And during the day, it's curtains up and lights off! Also, we try to keep things unplugged unless they are actively in use.
The sand play set looks like a lot of fun for the sandbox and beach.
judybrittle at aol dot com
All our light bulbs are now energy efficient, turned down heat, unplugged
whats not in use, cloth bags for grocery shopping, recycle and walk.

My little girl is wanting a cooking
set for Christmas this one she would love. Thanks for the contest.
I love the tea set, would love to win it for the girls. I also really like the Indoor Gardening Kit, as I start our vegetables indoors before we transplant them outside in the spring. This would be good for the girls to do to with their own supplies. The Cookware & Dinning Set is very nice. Now the Sand Play Set would not get much use at my house, unless we used it in the Winter Time when it finally decides to get busy and snow. Colorado is in a drought, and we live more in the Prairie area of the state. Nice toys, good for our environment. Thanks. Good luck to all. Happy Holidays.
I like the indoor gardening set.
We try to keep the lights off when we are not in the room and we recycle.
We recycle and upcycle, we compost, we raise organic chickens and goats. We've added a wood stove to the house. We turn off things not in use. And plant trees and gardens.
I have you on my blog roll.
http://babasfarmlife.blogspot.com/
I think the sand play set is really neat, especially the sand castle mold. I know my dd would have a lot of fun with it.
1.) One thing our family does to help the environment is to use a bucket to collect the water when the shower is first turned on, but is too cold to jump in. Instead of wasting all that water, we use it to water plants and to start off loads of cold-wash laundry.

I'd love to try the sand play set. Very cute!
The gardening set and the tea set are just darling.
Wished I would have had them as a kid.
We try to keep lights out when not in the room. My bill is rarely over $20 a month.
I no longer throw the old water in the dog's bowl out, I use it to water the house plants. I pick up trash when I take my dog for a walk.
My husband and I are both environmental engineers. We are always trying to be environmentally conscious. The best way to save energy for us is to unplug EVERYTHING when it's not being used. This goes for TVs, too.
I like the cookware & dinewear set! I love that these toys are safe and recyclable!

Thanks for the great giveaway!!
We try to conserve as much as possible- we are big on turning off lights we don't use, turning off the water when we brush our teeth, we recycle everything possible, and we melt down our crayons so we can reuse them as many times as possible.
Thanks again for the great giveaway!!

We recycle all that we can, we have changed out our lightbulbs for energy efficient ones, we don't run the heated dry on our dishwasher, we wash our clothes in cold water....I'm sure there's more, but that's all that I can think of right now :)
The cookware and dining set has always been my favorite.
To save energy, we turn lights off when not in use and teach the kids to do the same. We also try to keep the heat set low. We also unplug most appliances when not in use.
I just twittered about the contest. I'm ReizaM on Twitter.
We LOVE green toys! I think the dining set would go over well at our place as well. But we love the tea set, much creative play comes!
Would love to win this set. To help with the environment we recycle, use environmentally friendly cleaning products, unplug lights when not in use, etc.

My daughter would love the indoor gardening set!
We designed our house remodel so that the main floor is open, with skylights and lots of windows. This means that we rarely turn lights on during the day.

I've been wanting this so bad! My daughter would also like the sand set. We have the indoor garden, but haven't tried it yet.

Oh this is just gorgeous! My favorite is the tea set by far...I have three girls and they would be so thrilled to have one of those sets! Actually, they'd love any of them. Isn't that little planting set adorable?!
My family recycles all our tin cans, aluminum and glass. We don't take the paper, and we get all our magazine subscriptions online to save paper. We also get all our power from green sources (It's nice living near a huge wind farm in SE Colorado!).
Just last week my 9 year old was having a tea party with the little girls I babysit. It was the cutest thing!!!
My kids would flip over the Indoor Gardening kit!!!
ccswch@yahoo.com
That is the most adorable tea set ever! And if the packaging is that easy to open, that's a huge plus in my book.
I am amazed at how affordable the products are too. We'd love to add the tea set to out kitchen collection and we also love the cookware set.
Thanks for the amazing offer!
I have your button on my blog and you are on my blogroll.
In order to help save energy we have become very good about turning off lights and appliances that we are not using at the time.
And when we leave the house, I turn the thermostat way down. It's sometimes chilly when we get back but why waste the energy of the furnace when we aren't in the house.
That little indoor gardening kit is really cute. It would be great to grow something through the winter!
Thanks for the giveaway!
-Jenny-
We are trying to be more conservative in our lifestyle. We have switched to cloth diapers for our two youngest and have started a compost pile. Plus we raise some of our own food.
I would love the cookware and dining set for my granddaughter....
We recycle and use CFL bulbs. We buy local organic produce.
I did the twitter thing. I am just learning it....

Things we do to save energy are air dry our clothes, use reusable shopping bags wherever possible, recycle plastic bags and everything else we can, we have a vegetable garden, keep our heat set lower and wear slippers inside the house, consolidate trips in the car, we use CFL lightbulbs, we repurpose things, buy some toys at yard sales, donate our books we get rid of to the library, cook at home with our homegrown or locally grown food, and use cloth towels rather than paper towels.
I would love to try the Indoor Gardening Kit as well--too cute! Thank you for the contest!

I think the cookware set would be an excellent addition to any child's play kitchen. I love how the colors arn't overly bright like most other playsets.
To help save energy, we changed our light switches to motion sensor switches so they would go off when nobody was in the room. We also recycle everything we can, even things like cardboard toilet paper tubes and cardboard medicine boxes.
Love the Sand Play Set
Thanks for entry!
Our family uses very little electricity...rule of them...no lights or appliances on if nooone is in the room. We also grow our own spices, and a few veggies...even in our apartment
