It's Sleek. It's a City Art Giveaway!
I'm always looking for sleek, unique wall deco for my home. I'll be honest and say, my favorite thing to see on my walls are photos of my family. They remind me of all the sweet memories we've shared and give me a sense of warmth each time I pass them in the hallway.
Well, being that I love photographs on my wall, I was thrilled to discover City Art Photography. Mindy Martinsen is the creator and photographer who makes Photo Art such as this:
City Art Photography is a fun and unique way to celebrate a person's first or last name, express yourself or show pride in your hometown or state.
The creative process involves shooting original photographs of interesting letters found within a city or town. Some of the photographs may be of actual letters and others may be of objects that form abstract letters. The photographs are all in color and are then thoughtfully put together to create names of people and places or any word/phrase that has meaning to you. The end product is an interesting, unique piece of artwork that is personalized for you.
Photographs are 4x6 in size and are individually framed and mounted onto a small strip of black wood to be hung in any room of the house or an office.
I was lucky enough to receive a creation of my own from Mindy and she did a wonderful job. When I opened the shipping box, my breath was taken from me because it looks 100 times better than the photograph. Mindy is an amazing and talented artist that created the last name of my family.
In addition to the unique product, Mindy has been a joy to work with! She'll make each word to your liking and won't stop until you are satisfied with the result. I LOVE the "Design" example in Portfolio 1. I love the blue color scheme and the "i" palm tree. It reminds me of the SC flag which is blue with a palmetto tree. This would definitely choose that one and select my family's last name which happens to have an "i" in it. AWESOME! Please count me in!
